Colours of this Time

An investigation of the time-lapse process by the use of long time-exposuresrather than a 'sampling' technique.

The time-exposures had the effect ofexaggerating the change in the colour of natural light, so that as aprogression from sunrise to sunset, the film records imperceptible changesof light by strong shifts in the colour bias of the film emulsion itself. The fact that the camera shutter was open for the entire 16 hour period offilming, meant that a complete record of the landscape was made rather thana partial one.
