Cactus Babylon

Cactus Babylon is a semi-autobiographical exploration of contemporary Jewish identity. The filmmaker's own travels have informed the film. She has travelled through Germany and Poland and searched for a home in Israel and the United States. The notion of Babylon arose from contemplation of the Tanakh while the filmmaker was in New York, opening it at random she found references to wrathful vengeance, human folly and the idea of evil as a human choice. This film is an exploration of love, loss, ethics and contemporary culture.
