A loop emiting short flashes of light is projected onto volunteer members of the audience. They are directed to try and place a photocell switch into the beams. When contact is made, a strong light flashes onto them for a second. This is recorded on film giving partial images during the short flashes, and full portrait when the contact is made. This record is reprojected and rerecorded.
