A celebration of the role of aural and vocal song culture within histories of black political struggle and resistance.
Mixed media installation with group of five sculptural heads with loudspeaker mouths. Multi-channel constantly looping audio sequence containing collage of traditional and contemporary acapella singing fed to each head. Canvas panels with image text and vacuum formed faces.
