HOUSEWATCH
Ian Bourn, Lulu Quinn, George Saxon, Tony Sinden, Stanford Steele and Alison Winckle.
The HOUSEWATCH group design a portable house as part of a multimedia project shown in Japan.
The portable structure was designed as a vehicle for a twelve screen video projection. It was designed not to look out of place in a Japanese setting and was to be placed in different public locations, both inside and out.
Each artist made a twelve screen piece of work to be projected from within the house. The work would then be viewed as an installation, whereby the audience would experience the films by walking around the house.
(HOUSEWATCH, formed in 1985, is the name of a group of artists who work using light, film, sound and performance to transform ordinary urban locations and situations into new and exciting venues for events.)
