Variable length performance for 3-6x16mm
projectors, film loops, optical sound.
Black film is repeatedly cut and re-joined.
The cuts are made with the angled blade of
a splicer normally used for joining sound film.
At each cut we see an angled flash of light
followed by a thud of sound.
The film combines rhythmic intervals from
one cut per second increasing to twenty-four
cuts per second, spread across several projectors.
3 projector version first performed at Site Gallery, Sheffield July 2007, 6 projector loop version first performed at KYTN Dundee 2008
