A series of camera movements animate the wooden posts of a circular riding ring in Richmond Park.
The upright posts are filmed in consecutive order, a few frames each. On each successive circuit the camera moves nearer the centre of the ring, increasing the distance between fence and camera until the fence becomes an integral part of the landscape.
A 2 screen version (1986) uses a second hand-held super 8 projector. The film is of a wooden corral in Arizona USA, and is projected in a movement that slowly encircles the fixed 16mm image.
