bdpq Guy Sherwin 2004 endless loops b/w Sound 16 mm installation for two 16 mm film loops and modified Debrie contact printer

An installation made for the launch of the no.w.here lab film London in 2004. The letters bdpq are used to determine geometry when printing film. These four letters are printed from computer directly onto strips of film to give varying roll-over patterns. Two film loops of different lengths are combined in the printing machine which then projects the images onto a purpose-made screen.
