In dealing with the problem of the film's being and the cinematics of information versus information and light versus light, I began with a quantity bulk of light projection. It weighed too much so I refocussed and altered the temperature. Now the audience take one side of the scales and 'Meanwhile' the other. Whether they ever balance is not important, as long as the audience and the film remain constantly in motion on opposite sides of the beam. GE. for the Festival of Independent Avant-Garde Film 1973.
