Ideas for a better place

A series of workshops, conversations and collaborations resulting in an AV intervention on the Idea Store's information board, a publication and a limited edition series of t-shirts.

The work sought to engage with ideas of affecting the future (both global and local) through discussions, workshops and activities with users of the Roman Road Ideas Store. The project took place over several months and resulted in an A6 publication, t-shirts and an AV presentation on the Ideas Store information board. The work forms an extension of Tan's previous work Random acts of…, however in this instance the focus was more on random acts of generosity, magnanimity and kindness then on the random acts of violence and territoriality explored through the work in Random acts of… during the street interventionist project Curio, Hanbury Street.

Commissioned by Melanie Keen for Bow Art Festival, Space Studios London.

Shown at The Idea Store, Roman Road, Bow, London and the Bow Festival
