My first use of computers to edit and manipulate video, this piece was constructed at the London Electronic Arts masterclass organised by Simon Biggs and taught by StJohn Walker in 1995. Turning Worlds maintains a panning drift from right to left across the screen, starting with a world map and moving on to horses, trees, people and objects recorded with the same circular drift. The piece is a first attempt to sketch ideas for an installation based on the rotation and orientation of the Earth's axis as a metaphor for life expressed in art. D.C.
