An investigation of the apparent 'solidity ' of the projected membrane by the removal of frames.
The surface of the projected half-cone of light systematically passes through a number of states, such as tremoring, glimmering, blinking, flashing, etc.

A static form has its surface modulated by shifting frequencies of light/not light. At certain points the solid ceases to appear as such as its fabric increasingly assumes the quality of pure, agitated light. There are three sets of gradations: one in which the 'on' and 'off' are equivalent; one in which the 'on' dominates the 'off': one in which the 'off' dominates the 'on'.
