Originally shot on Super 8 and then transferred to VHS The Gap of Two Birds stands as a single screen work which was originally screened as part of an Installation and Performance at The Showroom London.
The installation consisted of the video playing continuously on a monitor at the far end of the gallery space. Four glass panels engraved with the words north and south divided the space, rubbings of which, made on to sheets of white paper, formed a significant part of the performance element (5 hours) of the work. These were offered at random to members of the audience who were invited to discuss the reasons for their choice.
