Forbidden Heroines was one of the first works in which Tallentire questioned the politics of identity in relation to women and institutions of power. The original performance for video was re-enacted to form the basis of a live performance with Alanna O'Kelly at The London Film Makers Co-op for 'Channel 6', curated by Tina Keane.
