The film is a diabolical bastardisation of various Greek myths: "This time the oracle predicted trouble, she was to bear a girl-child, far bigger and stranger than any before...The father had wind of her coming and so in fear, puts out the mothers' ears and banishes her to a wilderness, where there is only one other living soul; and he has been blinded by dog-shit..."
